We forgot to mention....

3

Heather got to go home before her dad came out for five days. While she was there she had her baby shower. We are so thankful to have so much love and support in our lives from friends and family and we are truly blessed. We love you all very much and Bailey is coming into such a wonderful family, and support system that we could not ask for anything else. We will see all of the New Yorkers in May and will have a beautiful baby to share with you all. Mom and Aunt Krystin see you in April, we an't wait to have you here to share in all of this experience.

Last night with dad.

After sanding and having dust everywhere some part of me decided I should try to give the dogs a shower with myself one at a time. I am not sure if I will try it again anytime soon, although they were much better about it than I anticipated, wet paws on the bed can be a drawback. Here are out last few pictures to share.

This morning (Wednesday) I really tried to think of anyway possible to keep my dad here and "accidentally miss his flight" as he has helped us progress so much. I know however how much he is missed at home by mom and the kids so I had to let him go. We had a great time, although he unfortunately spent his vacation working, we knew this ahead of time and it is why he so graciously came out. We did get to webchat with the family while he was here which was entertaining. Now we know that Bailey will be able to keep in touch with her family while growing up. We are also at a great place with the nursery and can see that finishing is in sight, and will hopefully be completed with pictures to share all put together in mid- February. We will try to keep you all posted.

Sanding the room

No the pictures are not blurry there was dust everywhere, but we wanted to share with you how much work was accomplished in just a short week. The room is looking great and we are now ahead of where we thought we would be out rather than behind schedule. Dad has saved the nursery.

Since dad is not able to come back for the delivery with Heathers' mom we took him to a 3d ultrasound at our perinatologist with us. All I have to say for that wonderful pregnancy belly is that we are still down from our pre-pregnancy weight at this time. Hooray!!. Bailey now weighs 3.47 pounds, so here is to hoping she is not huge like Uncle Dan.

Putting up the new door, what would an all new room be without a new door. Fortunately this removal and installation was planned unlike your bedroom door at college Aunt Meghan, and we are hoping it stays intact for many many years to come. Then we worked on some additional drywall in the room.

More Saturday work

Taking a moment after work to relax with the dogs. Sarge (the baby for now) is getting so big but they really do love each other. And while we show these we should also let you see how helpful they were Saturday while we were all slaving away working they just napped together.

Saturday was a great day to do more drywall. It was a day of measuring twice, marking, and cutting in an effort to get in some of the pieces that were not whole sheets. This is a lot more difficult than one would think, as for some reason pieces didn't fit right and we would have to rasp. This may have been the day that the word fun was not used too much.

More drywall today. Does anyone see a trend. Oh and we should say for anyone who wants a good laugh that when we went to get all of our supplies the Lowes truck was unavailable so we ended up around the corner at the home depot and proceeded to rent their truck, only to find that when we got our new insurance cards we forgot to put one in the Tahoe, so dad and Jeff shopped while Heather retrieved the card. After all of the drama we were still able to get all of the wood and drywall home Tuesday night.

Here are some of our newest drywall pictures along with some of Heather after coming home from work and trying to relax for a few before dinner with Jeffrey.

Here are pictures of the drywall lift put together by dad. This is a must if you are trying to drywall ceilings, and it came in very handy. Then in the afternoon Jeff and dad got started on the drywall.

Heather and Dad had their hands full today. Who knew. We knew there was a lot to be done but the things you don't know about are the ones that can drive you crazy. We worked on insulating the ceiling, which actually went pretty smoothly. Then we decided to pull up the carpet so that we could remove the rest of the nails and get preparing to put up the drywall. Little did we know after removing that ugly grayish, slightly faded blue carpet that we would find a layer of tiling that was partially gray and partially green, so here goes nothing and we pulled up all of the tiles to reveal the final floor that you see in the last picture. Talk about a day full of fun.
