Here are a couple more pictures from the CHLA shower. Thanks to all of you for your pure generosity.

Heather is also lucky enough to work with a great group of people at CHLA. Melanie, Sandy and many others helped to set up a shower and prepare food, and games. These girls are like a family of nurses who always come together for each other on many different occasions. As you can see we are truly blessed to have their friendship and support in welcoming Bailey and we are very excited for her to be able to visit them at the hospital and get to know them as she grows up.

California Shower

Here are just a couple of pics of different gifts that we got from the shower. It was great to see everyone and be able to catch up. Things have been so hectic with the nursery and appointments that to relax and spend time with friends was a breath of fresh air.

Thought we would share...

Here is the quilt from the nursery set Lilac Garden which we will be using. We wanted to show you a look at the way the nursery will be color scheme wise once it is all done and put together. Enjoy.

Nursery has been painted!!!

So for the color of the nursery we decided on one called pleasing pink. We wanted it to stay girlie but bring out some of the accents in the nursery set which is purple and plum. At first Heather was skeptical about the coloring but after giving it time to dry she has decided it is perfect. Our bookshelves and closet are going to be the pink color with white trim and white shelving to help pull the entire room together.

Who would have known that a nursery for someone so small could take so much time and effort to make exactly the way you wanted it to be. After priming the room completely, we decided to go out and purchase the trim for the window, closet, and bookshelf. Here it is sitting in the garage painted white just like the ceiling will eventually be painted. Our goal was to get the trim, but $200 later see what we have to show for it. It is amazing how much money this room will be worth once we have it completed. Tonight we will be trying to get our first coat of pink up on the walls while tivo tapes the Superbowl game so we can bypass commercials and the halftime show. Hope all is well with everyone.
