The girls have been asking for leaf piles, clearly they knew yard work was necessary to make these piles. It just so happens we lucked out with a non-breezy day that they could enjoy for leaf jumping. Makes me laugh to see how much fun a simple pile of leaves brings to kids, I think next time we may have to join in.
Took the girls to open house to meet their firefighters and learn about the equipment that they use. We even ran into Emma and Jack which was a nice surprise. They were very happy when Jocelyn told them she learned at school don't hide go outside. Sadly in the last years of calls they are finding more children under couches and beds when they get to a fire. We had great conversations and lots of fun with them. Thanks to each and every one of them for their unwavering commitment to be there in an emergency for our community.
